A good introduction gives someone a reason to talk to you without asking them to decode a wall of decoration. This Discord bio template generator combines a short original layout with your own details. You choose what to share, keep the useful parts and copy a finished introduction instead of editing every bracket by hand.
The initial card shows an example so you can see the layout before typing. Copying with all fields empty gives you a blank template with placeholder words to replace yourself. A field's input length is capped, and pasted line breaks become spaces so they do not split a label across several lines.
These 24 original introductions use the same example details for easy comparison. Each Copy button copies that card exactly as shown, including Mia's name. To make one your own before copying, select its label in the generator. All examples fit the limit in plain lettering; your longer details or chosen alphabet can change the total.
For people who want their profile to feel like a little notebook: a clear introduction, a quiet symbol and room for a few interests. These layouts leave the conversation to your words.

On desktop, open User Settings, go to Profiles and find the About Me editing field. On mobile, tap your avatar in the bottom-right corner, then Edit Profile, and scroll to About Me. Paste the copied text into that field, review it and save your changes. Check the saved profile rather than assuming a clipboard notification means it has been published.
Remove leftover placeholder words before saving, and look for accidental extra spaces or a line that wraps awkwardly. If the result is too long, shorten an interest list first or choose a minimal layout. The preview here cannot reproduce every device's fonts or Discord's Markdown rendering. Nitro members can also set a different profile per server.
The About Me limit is 190 characters. Discord's Custom Profiles guide includes emoji, Markdown and links in that allowance. A visually short bio can still use plenty of its budget: spaces, line breaks, a link address and the punctuation around a formatted phrase are all part of the text you paste.
The counter gives two useful views of your draft. “Characters” counts Unicode code points. Many decorative mathematical letters and emoji use a pair of UTF-16 code units, so the second number can be larger. Discord's guide does not explain that implementation detail; we show the larger total as a conservative upper bound, not a claim that every visible symbol has the same cost.
Above 190 characters, the tool flags the result in red: Discord will not let you save an over-limit About Me. Copy remains available so you can trim the draft in your preferred editor. If only the conservative count exceeds 190, check Discord's own editor before relying on the result. Shorter names, fewer decorations or a simpler layout can recover space without losing your main introduction.
Think about what another member needs to know before starting a conversation. You do not have to fill every field, and a bio does not need to be a complete personal record. Pick two or three details that fit the community you spend time in:
Discord About Me supports its own Markdown, including bold text and spoilers. If you want to add that formatting, the Discord fonts and formatting generator helps compose it. Keep the markers in your character budget. Use ordinary lettering for important instructions: decorative alphabets can be harder to search, recognize or listen to with a screen reader.
Posting a full introduction to a server channel? Our Discord intro templates give that message more room, with optional fields and a chat formatting preview.
A template supplies an introduction's structure; a font-style converter changes letter shapes. For only a nickname, use Discord fonts. For hearts or a bear face such as ♡ ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ, explore cute fonts. For decorative frames, try aesthetic fonts. An Instagram introduction has a different, 150-character budget, so use the Instagram fonts bio preview when adapting your text there. The main fancy text generator offers more lettering choices for other places you write.
Discord lists 190 characters for About Me, including emoji, formatting and links. Our first number counts Unicode code points; the second, when different, counts UTF-16 units. Treat that larger number as a conservative check, then confirm your finished bio in Discord's editor.
Choose a template, fill any fields you want to personalize, and copy the result. Open User Settings, find Profiles and the About Me editor, paste, then save. Replace any placeholder words you left behind and reopen your profile to check the saved text.
Yes, About Me accepts Unicode text. These letters usually work in a display name too, although individual devices may draw them differently. Your unique username has more restrictive ordinary-character rules. Keep a readable plain username and try the decorative version in your bio or display name.
Their available fonts may lack a character used in your bio, especially on an older system. A symbol's age does not guarantee every font contains it. Switch the name to Plain, choose a simpler template, and ask the reader whether the replacement appears correctly.
It is optional. Discord requires users to be at least 13, and some countries require a higher minimum age. Avoid posting your exact age, birthday or school if you are a minor. An age range can be enough when relevant; a template without an age field works too.
Without Nitro, the same About Me shows in every server you join. Nitro members can set a different server profile, including a separate bio, for each server.
